Jay-Z will perform the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI, the NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper announced on Monday. The game is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z's company, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension that secures its role through 2029. Under Roc Nation's direction, the productions have shifted toward hip-hop and rap artists.
The previous halftime show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara featured Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin. The 2022 event in Los Angeles included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Other recent headliners were Rihanna in 2023, Usher in 2024, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025.
Jay-Z has a 25-time Grammy record and has never previously played the Super Bowl halftime slot. He is currently touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It then moved to London for two dates and Paris for one in September. His final scheduled performances took place on Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium.
Those two October shows will now act as a warm-up for the upcoming Super Bowl set.
